Flying into Hobart

No official carrier has been nominated for the Forum.   Three airlines fly into Hobart: Jetstar Qantas and Virgin.

Hobart Airport is located 17 kilometres from the city, approximately 20 minutes by car or bus.

Visas

Depending on your country of residence, you may require a visa to visit Australia.  Please check the Australian Department of Home Affairs website to check your visa requirements.

Biosecurity Requirements

Tasmania has some of the world's most stringent biosecurity regulations. Please help us retain Tasmania's disease-free status by ensuring that when you visit you are not carrying or importing any restricted items.  Everyone arriving in Tasmania must discard all fresh fruit, vegetables and plants prior to their arrival, even if they’re only travelling from mainland Australia.  There are sniffer dogs at Tasmanian airports, and quarantine inspection posts at the Devonport ferry terminal.
